Indoor Playground

When it's chilly and windy outside, sometimes you have to make an indoor playground of sorts. I was sad to find out that the Gymboree on the north side, closed down! I was so hoping to take Wren there on my time off while the weather warms up.

Today we ran over to the Farmer's Market-it had been months since we went and it was that time again where we needed to spend a lot on not that many groceries :) But I was feeling market-deprived. And I really needed some of those raisin buns that this guy sells but I can't remember what his business is called. And meat, I hate buying meat from Superstore, and even if I only went to the market to buy good quality meat, it's worth it when we can!

I am counting down my last 4 weeks of work now, I can hardly wait! I'm also counting down the days when Spring starts to show up, and when I can buy "normal non-maternity" clothes again. Today, Kenton pointed out that a pair of my pants split in the bum pockets and that I should "just go buy another pair of pants already". I just can't bring myself to walk into Thyme Maternity ever again. In saying that, you might be asking, "What? No plans for a third??" and our answer is heck no. We don't have the energy or stamina for more than two and we will be happy with two girls and not trying for a boy...unless our ultrasound was wrong and we are actually having a boy this time. Doubt it, but it can happen. But no. Two.

It's exciting to have a Spring baby coming this time around...and just a baby here altogether. Wrennie is growing up really fast, and is more of a big kid than a baby these days. Some of her favorite phrases at the moment are, "Whatcha doin??", "Probably not hippopotamus!" and "Who dat??".
"Who dat?" refers to almost anything, not just a person.
"Mummy, who dat??"
"A car, Wren."
"Oh! Who dat??"
"Just a kid walking to school Wren."
"Who dat??"
"Raisins, Wren. You know that."
"Ohh..yeah."

  1. We are also so excited that you're having a baby! Wren really does look so grown up in these pics - I'm sad that we're so far away and missing all of this (man, I feel like my comments on your blog must always sound the same, but it's the truth!)
