Me- "Okay Wren, Mommy wants to talk to you."
Wren - "Yeah?!"
Me- "Tomorrow the diapers are going bye-bye. See these? (holding up big girl undies) You are going to start wearing these and peeing on the potty like a big girl! Your friend so and so goes pee on the potty and so it's Wren's turn too. Diapers are for little babies like Ellie and you're not a baby anymore. You will get treats for going on the potty. Okay?"
Wren gives me a dirty look and yells, "We will NOT be treated this WAY!!!"*

ReplyDeleteIt was a direct quote Rachel, so she said "we" because that's what the robot in the movie said :) And the training has been uh, the worst! She just doesn't want to, but she is so very capable. We are going to keep at it though, she is stubborn but hopefully we can outlast her!

ReplyDeleteOh Amy that is great! I enjoy your blog postings so very much, mostly because I can 100% relate as Rylan is only 2 months younger than Wren. We too are in the potty battle. We are near the finish line ( fingers crossed) and have almost beat him and won. I wish you all the best with it. They will not be 18 and in diapers so we should be good! :)
