A day here and there

Wrennie and I have been cooped up the past few days, she has a nasty cold. Because of this cold, she slept through 2 nights. Then last night she sure didn't...waking up frequently because she couldn't breathe through her nose. Poor thing.
I am waiting to catch it now. It's sort of inevitable!

Wren is wearing her favourite little Padraig slippers. Have you heard of these? I want some adult ones for Christmas with all the hard cold floors in our house!

If you ever have her at your house, and she is grumpy because of say, teething, place her in a rocking chair by herself like so. She will instantly be the happiest child alive.

Like that grandpa hair? The bed head from a nap? She always has it. Today Kenton says to me (while looking at Wren's hair), "What are we going to do with that?"
I refuse to cut it. The really long stuff gets pulled back in a barrette. That is what we are doing with that.

Andrea and Cam brought Wrennie maracas back from their honeymoon in Cuba. She thinks they are the best. But then she sticks them in her mouth. I don't know what kind of stuff they used on those things, so I really don't want them sucked on.

Here Wren, have a q-tip holder box thing.

Berries.

What a little sweetie in blue.

Is mealtime this messy for all parents? This was shepherd's pie...all over Wren's face. You would think I sit there and rub it on her face for a photo opportunity or something.

Weird, look where we ended up so fast...the bath. Maybe she does it on purpose...she really loves her bath time.

Girls get the sillies..

...on Photobooth!

I think Photobooth on the iMac is one of the top reasons people buy these. For us it provides endless entertainment. Even Wren gets it now, she sees us on the screen and flaps her arms in excitment. Here are some of the gooders from today. And a note: Wren has a bad cold, hence she looks like she is about to land on death's door.

She is just so smart...

She gets her good looks from me. See?

Shrinking eye trick.

They say her square shaped face is from the Neufeld side. I think that's pretty funny.

Oh, every time we hit this option to take a photo, for some reason Wren always did this face with a finger in the mouth..

and again here...

C'mon, it's funny! She is in a trance..

You might not know it, but she has her finger in her mouth again..

Yeah, you guessed it, the finger is heading that direction again.

Finger-in-mouth- on the beach.

I am laughing my head off at her because of how perfect we look on the roller coaster background. It was her first time on one. She is so tall for her age that she met the height requirement.

All done! and we still look like normal people :)

I love...

Oh my goodness...

I just came across this link. The husband is a photographer and has his own business called Pacing the Panic Room...however, his business is not the source of my excitement. What I love are the pictures he took each week of his pregnant wife as her belly grew...and the video! Watch the video!! I want her outfits...which I am sure are mostly from American Apparel. And I want her hair. It kind of makes me want to be pregnant again because she is so cute....but not quite yet.

We play in the park

Wrennie has some rules about playing in the park.

Rule 1: Don't stop the swing for a photo. Wren will think her fun swing time is over and become miffed.

Is this not the most beautiful season? I don't know if I have ever had a chance to spend this much time outside during the day. I have usually been working up until Wren, so spending fall with my big girl has been amazing!

I just took her to get weighed and measured today. 24lbs 4oz and still 30.25 in long. 10 months old and she hasn't exactly plateaued yet. Good for her!

Wren could take her meals and naps in this swing if we let her. Woe to the person who has to take her out.

Rule 2: Distract her immediately after departing from swing. Maybe place on play structure to see what she thinks. It seems to rate a 4 out of 10 so far by the look on her face...

Rule 3: Just because you introduce her to something new at the playground like a fun and exciting slide (that hopefully some little punk didn't pee on earlier that week), don't expect her to give a rip about it because it's still not a swing.

This sweater kills me. How does Joe Clothing come up with such cute stuff for babies. Kenton and I both want one in an adult size.

Is it sad that Wren's shoes were only $10 less than mine? Those jerks that design awesome baby clothes know we get suckered into cute stuff so easily for our kids...

Time for a smoke break...aka twig/leaf/grass -stuff-in-mouth-break.

Finally, a great photo of Wren's favourite thing next to a swing...being thrown up in the air!
Rule 5: Being thrown into the air may be almost as good as a swing. Almost.
