10 Months

I realize my blogging has slowed down. I think this is because my picture taking has slowed down too. Like I have said before, I kind of binge blog. That seems to be the way I do a lot of things. I binge knit, binge bake, binge sew, binge drink...just kidding. Dad, I am just kidding!

Wren is almost 10 months old on Saturday, so I am getting a head start on this one because I know I will forget this week.

Wren and I have also been busier than ever, stuffing plans in each day, getting out with friends and taking at least one nap together. Nap time is typically when I blog, but I have been so wiped that her and I read books and then pass out for an hour.
Speaking of naps...today was no different. We went swimming with Jill and little Isla, and afterwards Wren was worn out!  She is still sleeping on my bed and it's been 2 hours so far...go Wren!

This is her right now...aw little green bum in the air...

Wren is so tired, I opened the blinds to take a picture and she didn't even care. This kind of nap is so rare, I can barely get an hour out of the kid most days. She may have caught a cold however, as her nose has been something close to a runny faucet today. Could explain this wonderful nap..

Can I just say that sleeping babies are the cutest. I think it's why I lay beside her sometimes and just watch her sleep. Ohh...I just love her!

Bath time is still hilarious. Her hair provides me with endless entertainment. We like to call this one the Peacock.

Now, the pictures above were not taken on the same as this one below. However, the one below was during a bath time very recently. During this bath time Wren made a poop face. You know that sort of grunt/smile? I grabbed her and threw her on the toilet, and because you all wanted to know this, she pooped on the toilet like a big kid. Kenton was on the phone and I called him and made him come take a picture of the moment.
Yeah, the bath toy had to come with her.

It's sort of a tradition after a bath to bring our soaking wet, sweet and kissable baby wrapped up in a towel out to the other parent and have them give her a kiss.
A mom and Wren picture is a rare thing. Mostly because Kenton isn't as inclined to just naturally pick up the camera, he just doesn't think of it. I really don't mind, I am usually already changed into comfy pants and settling in for the night at about...8pm.

It's also a daily thing for us to all get on our bed and play and tickle Wren into fits of giggles. I especially liked her little teeth in this picture.

Oh, here is Wren awake from her 2 hour nap today! Her cheeks are always rosy after a good sleep. A few days ago she played peek-a-boo with us, holding up the towel in front of her face and then whipping  off to surprise us. We say, "Where's Wren-Wren...there she is!!" So, it's not actually peek-a-boo, but you get it.

I love these big bright eyes!

I think her eye-teeth are coming. I am not 100% sure on that though. I think I see bumps, and she chews on everything, but it's hard to say.

This was supper tonight. What a mess as usual!

In our house, Wren can turn in her highchair and look down the hall and see us in the bathroom. After dinner, we run the bath water and she turns around and starts smiling and laughing because she knows a bath is coming.

This girl loves to get thrown around, but mostly thrown up. Hmm. That doesn't sound right.
It was impossible for me to get a clear photo, but you can sort of see a happy face here. It's one of her favourite things...getting thrown up :)

Again, not a lot has changed...Wren is getting more and more expressive each day. Her favourite book is called "This is My Hair" and each time we read it, she pulls out her soother to smile and have a laugh at the silly pictures.
She has started to really love certain people. She seems to warm up to most people more easily now, but take her away from Nana, Grandma or Aunty and she is sad and pouts!
She definitely doesn't like our dentist. He only sat on the other side of the room and she was not impressed. Oh well, we don't have to like everyone :)
I wish I could report that she is sleeping through the night, but she still isn't. There was one night that she did, guess it was a fluke.

I go back to work in the middle of November to a 0.6 position. I am slightly excited...a little nervous too.I have worked us into a routine now being home for 10 months with her (11 counting my time off before her), but at least I am done my major learning curve from when I first started, and I will be picking up where I left off. Our busiest time is September until Christmas, so it's nice that I will also be missing most of that!

Where has time gone?
