We are really taking advantage of all the beautiful days outside right now.
On this post, I added pictures from two separate days this week, but the same location.
On Tuesday Wrennie wanted to try a new park, and invite Aunty Andrea along to play.
Grass, it's about as exciting as a new toy, and just as likely to go in her mouth.
"Wrennie, look! Aunty is here!"
"Yay!"
Can you just hear her little giggle?
They chased geese together. Another reason why Andrea remains in the top 3 of Wren's favorite people.
And of course, a swing! It has been asked before, but I did make this toque. I really wanted the "elf" point at the top of it, and I finally made the perfect one that actually fits her. It only took me about 4 tries (and different sized toques) later to get it right.
And a big swing...
As often as Wren put leaves in her mouth, I spent just as much time pulling them all out. This happened about oh, the entire time she was put on the ground. Parks aren't exactly baby proof!
And so leaf-eating ends our first trip to the park.
And then we went again today with Jill and her little friend Isla. Looking at these photos today, Kenton was telling me how crazy it is that he has known Isla's dad (Jill's husband, Cam) since he was a baby, and now our kids play together.
Now that the girls are sitting up, crawling and even trying to stand, they are getting to be even better friends. They are 5 weeks apart, and Wren has typically had the upper hand as she acquires skills slightly sooner than Isla, and tends to push her weight around. But now Isla can do all the things Wren can, so things get a little more interesting when they spend time in close proximity. Jill is also going to post these photos (but from her camera) on the blog. I can't wait to see what she caught on her camera.
They must be true friends...they even dress the same!
I call this The Lid Fight...
'Hey, a lid!"
'I like this lid too, Wren!'
'Well, give it back, I found it first.'
'No, I want it. Mom, I want it!'
'Ha, not looking Isla, give me that!'
'Girls! Look over here for a picture!'
'It's miiiine!'
'See Wren, I am big too. Now give it to me...'
'...or I will pull off your pretty little toque!'
'Hey girls, be nice..'
'Oh mom, don't worry, I am being nice, I was just telling Wren how much I love her toque...'
'Take that!'
'Isla...'
'Okay mom, I'll be nice, she is my friend.'
'Take us home!'
"I can tell that we are gonna be friends..."
What song is that? Hmmm???

Hahahaha! Oh my! The Isla and Wren commentary is amazing Amy.
