We had this idea of finding the new Fort Edmonton foot bridge that was recently built. The bridge itself is really cool, and has places you can sit and just hang out.
We brought a small picnic and watched the river.
Trying to keep a toddler from running all around the bridge and not get hit by passing bikes was interesting...actually next to impossible. Wrennie would pretend to want to go stand by the bars and look out at the river, but then make a mad dash.
Once we finally gave up making her stay in one spot (and one tantrum later), we headed back on the path to our car. Wrennie loved picking up every single leaf and stick on the trail, handing them to me, and picking up the next one she saw.
Oh here Dad, I picked up this stick just for you!
Do you like our attempt at taking a picture of just the two of us? Nice.
That is the face of a little stinker!
When we got home, we may have all watched another episode of Wipeout for fun as well :) One of Wren's favourites!

I love your mother-daughter stripe look! Where is Wren's from (with that adorable little heart)? I love that you guys are watching Wipeout...hilarious!
ReplyDeleteFun! That bridge is frequently visited by my fam too, and I can attest to the difficulty of keeping kids out of the way of bicyclists. It sure is a fun bridge to play on though.
ReplyDeleteAnd my little girl has the same shirt as Wren. :)
Once again Rach, both of our tees are from Joe :)
ReplyDeleteI typically dress her the same as me, and then realize it after we are already out in public. (The best was the day it was raining and we both wore our red rain coats and Wren in her red boots and me in red Toms. Oh boy)
And remember that day I came over for a walk, and all three of us wore our red raincoats? We be cool :)
