Happy belated Mother's Day!
This year, I got beautiful spring flowers and a picture frame from Wrennie and Kenton. The reason I bother telling you what I got (I am not trying to brag), was that when the frame was wrapped up on top of the fridge, I thought it was Tina Fey's new book, Bossy Pants. It was a funny moment because I wasn't disappointed with what I did get, I just thought it was something else! Classic.
Speaking of Tina Fey and Mother's Day, this weekend she hosted Saturday Night Live for the special day. You can watch the hilarious clips here.
Here you see Wrennie riding her little horsie at Nana and Papa's. This year she actually wanted to go near it. If you press it's ears, it moves it's head and neighs like a horse and gallops. The sounds are pretty loud, and the first time we introduced her to the horse, she was not happy about it.
This year is a different story :) She is also big enough to squish the horse, maybe that helps.
This Mother's Day, I ordered personalized photo notepads online from Pinhole Press. We plunked in a picture of Wren for the cover, and another one of her for the bottom of the subsequent pages. So cute! And they will ship to Canada if you ask :)
Kenton and I also had a great time on Saturday, celebrating with our friends Eric and Katherine who just got married! Congratulations you guys!
We had an incredibly fun night hanging out with friends, drinking too much wine, eating amazing food and dancing...okay well I was dancing. If you are getting married and wondering where you should have a cozy and but stylish reception, the Yellowhead Brewery was where this one was held, and we loved it!
P.S. Our friend Nate did the catering, and provided some delicious finger food for the night. If you haven't already, you must check out his little place, Elm Cafe.

Oh Sawyer has that rocking horse. The sound and movement broke after about 2 days though :( But it's a super cute horsey!
ReplyDeleteOh, Wren...you continue to be so cute. I love the notebooks from Pinhole! Would love how to see how the ones you ordered turned out!
