Thoughts on being a mom of two...

A mom of two doesn't have time to write thoughts down let alone brush her teeth, so these are in point form...

- I saw leftovers in the fridge today for lunch and nearly did a fist pump because I didn't have to have another granola bar and pretend it was a meal.

- We made it to playgroup today, which was a small miracle in itself.

- The thought of running an errand with a toddler and a newborn sounds about as fun as burning your tongue on hot coffee.

- An "outing" means "running" out to buy a nursing cover, diapers, or just something that is not for you.

- "Free time" is when a grandparent offers to take your toddler for the day or the night and you are left at home in peace with your newborn.

- A clean house now means that the toilet is at least flushed.

- Getting dressed in the morning is putting on the same thing that worked for the past three days, providing it didn't get spit up on it.

- Dry shampoo is my best friend.

- Just because your toddler is napping, doesn't mean the baby is magically going to take a hint too.

- If you have to watch what your toddler is watching on tv while you nurse the baby, you really hope it's Sesame Street and not Backyardigans.

- Ellie does a sleep smile and maybe a sleep laugh and you are okay with all of the above, obviously :)
