We are going to be sleep deprived this week. Just a heads up for those coming into contact with us.
Here is what we want for the night- have her go to bed earlier, and stay asleep through the night, or feed her once and have her go back down on her own.
Night #1 of Dr. W's suggestions:
-Put Wrennie to bed early (between 6 and 7pm)
-When she wakes in the night, feed her, put her back down, let her cry it out
We got her in bed and asleep by 6:45pm. She was tired and ready.
Then she woke up around 8 I think...took some soothing, a little feeding, crying, and back rubbing and back down for good.
She woke up again at 12:30am, just sitting in her crib, wide awake. I fed her, rocked her, and put her back in her crib. She cried for an hour. A whole hour. We know Dr. W says don't go back in the room at all during crying time, but we had to make sure her limbs weren't caught in her crib railings at least! She didn't fall asleep until 2am...and I had gone into her room one last time to straighten her out and put the soother in her mouth, give a little back rub, and finally she drifted to sleep. She was so tired! (and so were we...sheesh).
She didn't wake again until 5:30am. Kenton fed her and she went back to sleep for another hour or so.
And that was our first night with Dr. W.
He is all about letting them cry it out...and we are prepared for a crappy week of sleep now, that is for sure!
However, this morning she went to sleep so easily for her morning nap. I fed her a bottle, put her in the crib awake, she cried for 5 min and was sound asleep...for about 40 min which is okay and I will take it.
We will see how tonight goes...
P.S. She's a climber now, on everything!

Even though I don't have kids, I still enjoy reading all your blog posts :)
